Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Graphic SF Reader
Green Arrow is someone that Dr Light is not particularly fond of, due to the whole brainwashing thing. As a result, he goes looking for the female Dr Light, to steal her powers before a confrontation.

He enlists the aid of Merlin, the criminal archer, to keep GA busy. Luckily, GA has Black Lightning to help him out, and the rest of the Arrow family. The latter are a problem, as those are the people Dr Light is looking to kill, explosively. This is how it ends, with a big bang.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - A Textbook Case of How NOT To Write a Story
It has been said that Judd Winick is at his best with characters of his own creation. This story is perhaps the greatest proof of that statement.

It is quite telling that this story so contradicted the basic continuity of the Infinite Crisis storyline that it was meant to lead into, that DC Comics later had to say this story took place AFTER that event for it to make any sense at all.

Ignoring the confusion over when it takes place, it still does not hold up very well. Green Arrow has always been one of the more realistic superhero books and been handled by writers who wrote it as such. So when were are faced with scenes where morphine is used to treat a concussed hero (with only the superpowers of a Buddhist monk) who is then able to overpower two orderlies and jump out of a moving ambulance or a man with a collapsed lung is still able to stand unaided... one has to wonder if Winck consulted has ever consulted a first-aid text in writing his gritty "real world" action comics.

One also must wonder about how Winick, who has publically complained about a lack of positive Asian characters in comics (Winick's wife is an Asian American) while hyping his Juniper Lee TV series can justify this story - where Dr. Light, one of the few Asian heroines DC Comics has is handily beaten, depowered and symbolically raped by a white male villain who literally leaves her for dead on the hospital floor with no resolution of her storyline (A full article on this can be found at : [...]

In the end, I would not reccomend this book for anyone. Newbies to the Green Arrow character would be better advised to read Kevin Smith's "Green Arrow: Quiver"
