Hardware-wise the card works great. If installing in Vista however, you cannot use the included manual or software. Per the D-Link website, you have to go to the device manager and disable any current wireless interfaces and let Windows find the latest driver.
Once you have all of that straightened out, it works like a champ.

Just what I needed to connect my aging Dell laptop to wireless networks. Note that if you buy a wireless router at the same time, perform the router installation and setup FIRST, then run the setup for your new wireless card.

I am new to networking computers, this is the very first time for me. I bought a D link N router and this card for my lap top, Both were easy to set up and work great, I took about 20 minutes to do both.

The Xtreme N Wireless Cardbus adapter was very easy to install, and I haven't had any problems with it. But it also hasn't performed as well as was stated in the description of the product and others' reviews. Wireless range is not any greater, and the speed is just slightly better. However, I didn't change my router, just the adapter. Maybe you need to do both. Not bad for the price, but somewhat dissapointing. If I'd have know the results, I would've just stuck with my old wireless adapter.
