I really love using splenda in my coffee, water flavor, baking food, breakfast food, and some diet pops like diet coke with splenda and diet rite with splenda. I have tried another sweetener called truvia it was new, I tried it two days ago with my coffee and it turns out awful plus I tried it with just sugar taste itself I just hated so badly. After that I went back to using splenda again and I felt happy with the sweet taste of splenda.

This review is in 2 parts:
When I was married, my wife use to use the Splenda in it powdered form, not the individual packets. And when she was making a glass of ice tea, she would fill the class a 1/3 full with Splenda, and then add the tea. Fearing she was using too much, I contacted Splenda Corporate and once got past their standard answers for their customers, I receive some very interesting answers, (it all how you ask and persistence in seeking an accurate answer and not one of their ready made answers that get results.
(Part I) Facts as stated by Splenda Corporate:
1. Using too much Splenda will not hurt a person, as Splenda is made from sugar.
2. The powder in a box. Not in individual package Splenda has filler added to it, so it can be used in it proper amounts in baking, like when the recipe calls for a cup of sugar. Splenda Corporation has added enough filler so the sweetness of one cup Splenda matches that of 1 cup sugar.
3. Splenda in individual packets, verses power in a box Splenda, 10-12 individual packages of Splenda is equal to 1 cup of the powder Splenda from the box/no individual packages. So you pay for filler and the easy of using it, but into day's age, a little bit of effort of using individual packets of Splenda could increase the money you have in your wallet.
Special note: I keep a good scissors in the kitchen, take 8 packages of Splenda holding them as one and shake until all the Splenda is in the bottom of all 8 packets. Then use the scissors to cut the top off the top of all 8 (with one cut of the scissors) of the Splenda's individual packets, then turn all 8 packets as one, upside down and pour the 8 packets as one into the drink. Myself I found to sweeten approx 3-4 quarts of drink, takes 8-10 shake, cit and turn upside down, then repeat twice more, so you only have to use the effort of 3 cuts, and 3 pours to put 24-30 packets of individual packet of Splenda to sweeten 3-4 quarts on unsweetened Kool-aid. But you might choose a different amount. (The little effort is worth the savings, see below).
Where those using the powered Splenda in a box, must use 2-3 cups of Splenda powder to get the same sweetness. It all comes down to do you pay for filler for the ease of pouring it in, or you watch your money to purchase something else with the money you would of wasted on filler?
4. Maybe I should have mentioned this first, but as I like Splenda I thought it best to put it 4th. Splenda does have calories the Splenda Corporation stated. They use such a small measuring amount, that yes in small qualities they can state it has no calories. Quote "But when using larger amounts, it does have calories as it made from sugar" unquote as Splenda Corporation stated. The person I talked to at their corporate headquarters could not, or would not get into the specific amount, only stated in reference you my stating my wife would fill a 16 oz glass 1/3 with Splenda then add the ice tea; quote "in large amounts as that there is calories, as it is synthesized from sugar, but I can not tell you how many calories. But rest assured, that the calories would be much higher if she was filling her glass 1/3 full with sugar" unquote.
(Part II) Why with "Amazon Prime" as of DEC2008, a box of Splenda 700 count box is much cheaper than Splenda 1,000 count.
1. A few months ago I decided to pay Amazon.com the once a year $79 charge for "Amazon Prime". Which made products shipped from Amazon.com have a 2 day shipped to my door free of charge.
2. Recently I was trying to see which was cheaper, the 700 or 1000 count per box. I had my trusty calculator out. The 1,000 package per box was $23.99. It individual price per packet came too $0.02399. The 700 package per box was $17.22. It individual price per packet came too $0.0246. At the 1,000 packets per box, it was a saving of $0.61. Hey times are tough, every penny saved helps. As I was going through the steps of purchasing the 1,000 packet per box, I saw the final price took an almost $10 increase from the shipping. I thought that was strange, as last month I could not afford the 1,000 packet box of Splenda, so I purchase just the 700 count per box Splenda and it had free shipping. So I backed out of the "Check Out" page at Amazon.com and learned, that yes, when I added the 700 count box of Splenda to the cart instead, and took it almost to the fine page of purchase in the "Check Out" of Amazon.com, that there was no shipping as it does fall with in the qualification of "Amazon Prime". So I pulled out my trusty calculator, and I will not further bore you with what some might call minute calculations. I was able to purchase times two boxes of 700 count packet of Splenda, (totally 1,400 packets of Splenda) with it no shipping charge, for near the same price as the Splenda 1,000 with it shipping charge, give or take a few dollars. ... I use a lot of this sweetener and really like it, but my very first order had a large percentage of the envelopes leaking Splenda inside the container. However, when I contacted Amazon they were quick to replace the item that was defective from Splenda. I had tried to contact the Splenda manufacturer to no avail, but Amazon came through. Hopefully, the replacement box will have sealed little envelopes!
