I bought one of these to weight an experimental aircraft that I built. It had to be able to weight up to 400 lbs at each wheel and this scale goes up to 440 lbs. Just what the doctor ordered, aaahhh I mean aircraft builder :-)

Bought this scale because of the large footprint (can hold my dog, sort of) but immediately as you step on it it feels like cheap thin plastic that bends and might break. The colour of the scale seems to be a yellowish white rather than the bright white the company shows. In short, it is not pretty (would fit right in with that 80's bathroom) and feels cheap, but seems mostly accurate and can store the last 5 weighs.

I like the memory feature, since I'm on a diet it lets me know wheather I've lost or gained weight from the day before, which is importaint how you control your weight. Also it's legible so that my weak eyes can read it.

Right after I bought a similar scale from Tanita (the HD314), it was discontinued, so my review went to the four winds. I have been so happy with the accuracy of my scale, and if it wasn't for Amazon reviews, I'd never have found it. So I feel compelled to copy my review to a Tanita scale that is currently available--based on other reviews here, it looks like accuracy runs in the brand, so I'm thinking my review is quite relevant. Here it my review of the HD314:
After reading many frustrated customer reviews, and having two separate personal experiences with what appears to be the current state of affairs with modern digital bathroom scales (for the majority of scales, you simple cannot get consistent repeat readings) this scale is the exception and just great.
For some reason it seems to be really hard to design a digital scale that reads the same when you make multiple weighings one right after another. Whether the scale is too sensitive to subtle changes in the positioning of the feet, or it's some other factor entirely, I've found it's common to get over half a pound difference between repeat weighings.
But not with this scale! The reading changes at most 0.2 lbs, and usually is exactly the same! Hallelujah.
