This is a game for kids of about four years old. It helps with counting, but that's the only educational value. You do almost nothing but move around the number on the card you pick each turn, from 1 to 20. There are a very few cards which tell you to move back a few spaces, and there is one space which, if you land on it, sends you several spaces forward. But that's it - that's the whole thing. The cards are written with cute rhymes, but it doesn't add that much amusement as far as I'm concerned, because you just want to know how many spaces you get to move. Most little kids won't be able to read them. I like games, and I'm always looking for something fun to play with my five year old daughter. This is one I wouldn't suggest. Candy Land is a lot more fun. Chutes and Ladders is better, too. We also like Guess Who (the new electronic version is good because there are several different character cards to use.) We like Dr. Seuss's Fun in a Box, which is a fairly challenging memory game involving his books covers. And Cariboo is good for this age group, (3, 4, 5) too. Hope this helps.

I bought this game for my 4 year old granddaughter remembering that my daughter and I had played it years before. The game board and cards are as I remembered them, and it brought back some happy memories. That said, the quality of this product is excellent with a sturdy, colorful board and playing pieces. The game arrived in a large, well-packed box, and I was surprised to receive it so quickly after I had ordered it.

I had this game for both of my kids and wanted to get one for my grand daughters and could not find it in a store. The game is new in the box and is exactly what I wanted.

My sister and I are both in our early 50's. We played this as children. We played this one when I got it and it was wonderful !! Brought back great memories. My 4 year old great-niece played as well. We read the rhymes and she gave us the number. Great reading readiness, rhyming words. Identifying numbers as well.
