Editor's Notes and Comments:

Amazon.com:
Good-natured rock & roll wise guy Joe Walsh not only made a name for himself as guitarist for The Eagles and The James Gang, but he also had a successful solo career. Known for his self-deprecating sense of humour ('Life's Been Good') and his dirty guitar boogie (the pulsating 'Rocky Mountain Way'), Walsh drew a fan base from those who were fond of the harder edge he gave to The Eagles. He was easily one of the better guitarists of his generation, not so much for flashy licks but for his rhythmic sensibilities and awareness of restraint and economy. Yet Walsh continued to view himself as an 'Ordinary Average Guy.' His keen self-awareness and his understanding of the importance of rock in the overall scheme of things was further evidenced in 'A Life of Illusion.' Even the title of this collection, Greatest Hits: Little Did He Know shows Walsh, for all of his talent, never lost sight of the fact that it's only rock & roll. The album also contains the memorable 'Funk#49,' 'Bolero,' and 'Midnight Man.' --Steve Gdula

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Singing Legend
I have enjoyed the music of Joe Walsh within the Eagles and solo. He has a unique style and sound. I do own all of the Eagle albums and now bought this one by Joe Walsh to complement my collection. Yes Joe, "life has been good" and we hope you keep making great music.

If you like the sounds of the 70's as I do, and enjoy the Eagles too, you won't want to miss adding this great CD to your collection as I did. This is Joe Walsh as some of the finest of what he does and well worth the money to own it.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT SOLO CAREER
These are some great songs from Joe Walsh's early solo career , all of his greatest hits from the James gang to when he was on his own , great collection , highly recommended.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - The Title Pretty Much Covers It
From the James Gang to the Eagles to his solo career intersped throughout Joe Walsh has long been an unsung (heh) hero. This body of work demontrates both mastery of craft and a welcome sense of self depreciation. Buy it yesterday and don't forget to vote Walsh in 08.
