Editor's Notes and Comments:
Product Description:
From antelopes to zebras, the A-to-Z of creatures inhabiting these lively pages are lovingly depicted by ten gifted wildlife artists who reveal their carefully developed techniques for achieving remarkably realistic animal art.
Emphasizing the all-important details of rendering wildlife, the book devotes separate sections to animals' eyes, whiskers, beaks, fur, and so on. Sketches, studies, and reference photos used by master painters show just how their bird and animal portraits evolved into magnificent finished works in watercolor, gouache, oil, pastel, or other mediums.

this book only brievly describe the techniques used and sometimes what medium was used is not even mentioned. This is a nice book for the artwork, but as a teatching tool, it is not the book to buy. There are a few useful tips and a rough explanation with visual on how a mountain lion with cubs painting was done, but all we see from that is the 3 main step of that painting. Most exemple don't even go there and only have a bit of text explanation.
