Product Description:
A child bride, Sara Winchester had grown into a winsome beauty, joyfully anticipating the day when her husband Nathan, Marquess of St. James, would return to claim her heart at last. Charmingly innocent, she dismissed the ancient feud that divided Nathan's family from her own...and she was totally unaware of his past exploits as the notorious pirate, Pagan. The man who now stood before her was perplexing, arrogant and powerfully handsome...a warrior-gentleman whose gentle touch aroused her to the wildest, deepest pleasures of love.
Nathan had never bared his soul to any woman, but he was soon utterly beguiled and exasperated by Sara's sweet, defiant ways. Aboard his ship, The Seahawk, she was brave, imperious and determined to win his heart completely -- yet upon their return to England, her love would be sorely tested as a vile conspiracy tried to tear them apart. With their future at stake, they would discover the true destiny of their passion...for all time!

The third book in the series, The Gift is filled with delightfully humourous moments. I especially loved the scenes aboard ship. As another reviewer stated: "I had a perpetual smile on my face," which I also had throughout the book.
I particularly liked it when Sara stated that her nickname was "Damn it, Sara." If you liked the other two books, you are sure to be delighted with this one. I know I was.

I'm a Garwood fan, but this was awful. The writing did not even resemble Garwood's normal prose. The sentences were short and choppy. The dialog between the two main characters was bland and lacked any real chemistry. The characters had no reason to fall in love with one another....and, the reader certainly had no reason to like them. They were both completely annoying. Not exactly sure what happened with this book. Maybe Garwood needs to take a sabbatical.

"Damn it, Sara!" This is one of the funniest novels I've read in a while, and perhaps one the funniest romance books ever. The interaction between naive, clueless and romantic Sara with rough, impatient and reserved Nathan nearly had me in tears sometimes. Nathan was as far as he could be from Sara's high-fetched romantic ideals, yet you just know that Sara is exactly what he needs, whether he realizes it or not... and with the many disasters Sara leaves in her wake, one can hardly blame him for wanting to throttle her at times. Fortunately, though Sara can come close to being annoying, her innocence, her sincere love for her husband, as well as her undeniable charm makes her one of the most likeable romantic heroines I've encountered so far. The chemistry between the two very unlikely pair is an added bonus. A real keeper!

I thought this book was adorable! My favorite romance I've read, and I love to read romance. This book gives you more. It just makes you smile. I read some of the negative reviews and they're just plain wrong wrong wrong. The Julie Garwoods books I've read are some of my favorites, but this one takes all. Some say the hero may be arrogant, I say his confident and has a big heart hidden under a gruff wrapper. Some say the heroin in clueless, I say she is beautifully naive and a true treasure. Open up to the story and just enjoy!! This book is like a teddy bear - it's so cute and gives you a warm feeling the more you embrace it.

this was the most predictible, ridiculous romance i have ever read. very first of all, the main character, Sara, is clueless. about everything. she has no common sense, and isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box. this makes you just want to shake her the entire time you're reading. second, the main male character isn't much better. at least he has a brain in his head. and third, predictible..
don't waste your money on this book.
