Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
You have never read a book like this before -- a book that comes along once in a lifetime to change lives forever.

In the rain forests of Peru, an ancient manuscript has been discovered. Within its pages are 9 key insights into life itself -- insights each human being is predicted to grasp sequentially; one insight, then another, as we move toward a completely spiritual culture on Earth. Drawing on ancient wisdom, it tells you how to make connections among the events happening in your life right now and lets you see what is going to happen to you in the years to come. The story it tells is a gripping one of adventure and discovery, but it is also a guidebook that has the power to crystallize your perceptions of why you are where you are in life and to direct your steps with a new energy and optimisim as you head into tomorrow.

Amazon.com:
Find out for yourself why virtually everyone you know has this book, described as an 'adventure in pursuit of a spiritual mystery', on their coffee table. In the tradition of Carlos Castaneda's The Teachings of Don Juan.

User popularity level: out of 5 stars

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Well ... it didn't make me angry
Actually, my title should really be: "Well, it was better than The Mothman Prophecies'." (For the "why" see my review of that book.)

I have to admit, the ideas are interesting. Even some of the philosophies I agree with strongly. But there just seems to be a push for humanity to believe that we've evolved enough to harness the metaphysical energies of the Universe in the ways described in this novel.

And it is a novel ... some folks seem to forget that.

We are made up of the energy of said Universe ... but we are 3 dimensional beings. Yes, our evolution has sped up quite a bit over the last hundred thousand years, but to see non-visible energy, to vibrate our bodily energy beyond what it does normally ... it just doesn't jibe.

I guess I'm too much of a scientist to believe in the fantastical ... yes, "I want to believe" but practicality just kicks in and I'd rather spend my time and energy in Reality.

Having said that ... even when I removed the scientist (kicking and screaming) from the picture, the story didn't hold me. It was like reading a series of lectures tied together with a rather thin plot that seemed to think it was speeding along but slows to a creep when the lecturer starts again. So even when a grain of salt, I found this a bland experience.

Sad too ... there are some very important ideas in this book concerning the role of religion and self-determination in modern society.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Life Changing Book
The "Celestine Prophecy" is a life changing book for the 21st Century! There are guide books available as well to continue your understanding and incorporation of the insights into your daily life. The "Celestine Vision" and the "Celestine Prophecy Explanatory Guide". Highly recommended to all to grow spiritually!

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Completely lost me...
So tell me now, if we were all clairvoyants, could it be possible that we all could actually see one another's auras?

Are you certain Redfield hadn't smoked a joint very first before he wrote this book, because it sounded like he most likely trippin'.

...One of the most controversial part of the book had to do with a white calf, but honestly I just couldn't finish the book nor get a really good grasp of its concept.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Thought provoking.
A very interesting title. If only things were as clear in life as in this book.

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Not for me
This book was not for me. If it's for you, that's fine, but I felt like it was a Dan Brown novel crossed with that What the Bleep movie, only written by a high school kid and totally boring.
