Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
He would sell his warrior soul to possess her. . . .

An alluring laird...

He was known throughout the kingdom as Hawk, legendary predator of the battlefield and the boudoir. No woman could refuse his touch, but no woman ever stirred his heart—until a vengeful fairy tumbled Adrienne de Simone out of modern-day Seattle and into medieval Scotland. Captive in a century not her own, entirely too bold, too outspoken, she was an irresistible challenge to the sixteenth-century rogue. Coerced into a marriage with Hawk, Adrienne vowed to keep him at arm's length—but his sweet seduction played havoc with her resolve.

A prisoner in time...

She had a perfect 'no' on her perfect lips for the notorious laird, but Hawk swore she would whisper his name with desire, begging for the passion he longed to ignite within her. Not even the barriers of time and space would keep him from winning her love. Despite her uncertainty about following the promptings of her own passionate heart, Adrienne's reservations were no match for Hawk's determination to keep her by his side. . . .

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - OK, But start with "Kiss of the Highlander"
This book was ok, but I tired of the constant tension between the main characters. I would very first start with "Kiss of the Highlander": This is the very first Karen Moning book that features the MacKeltars. All I can say is...READ THIS BOOK! It is a great mixture of magic, highlands, passion & humor. The characters are well developed and get you itching to read the rest of the MacKeltar books (#1 "Kiss of the Highlander" - (Drustans story),#2 "Dark Highlander" (drustans twin), #3 "Immortal Highlander" (Adam Black - side character interacting w/ MacKeltars), #4 "Spell of the Highlander" (part of MacKeltar clan), #5 "Highlander's Touch" (seperate story linked w/ Adam Black), #6 "Into the Dreaming" - a novella that features the fairy queen mentioned in the other books. NOTE: This is my suggestion for the order to read them in. There is not real official order in which to read them. All I know is once you finish this book, you will be itching to read the rest. Then, come back to this one when you are still itching for more Karen Moning! :)

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Not as good as the rest,
Kiss of the Highlander and The Dark Highlander are written far better. Beyond the Highland Mist is an odd side story and is better read by people who haven't read Moning before. Over-all this was pretty much a disappointment. She's a great writer, but this is definitely better suited for my grandmother.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome!
All books by Karen Marie Moning are super great! If you like ultra steamy love scenes that are very well written, then you'll love her. She always throws in a dash of magic - which is great - and the story moves right along. A real page turner. She's the best romance writer out there. Go buy her books and you won't be disappointed.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A Hit Highlander book.
Sometimes I forget how great a writter Karen Marie Moning truly is, and this book definatly didn't disappoint. I love how she adds a bit of gypsy culture into her work. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't mind reading about time travel.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - So cheesy, so... typical, so...
I couldn't even convince myself to end it, it was that bad. This book is about a pefect guy who doesn't love any woman but has sex with dozens of them and enjoys being a womanizer. And then there's the young woman of the book, who is so beautiful and so all perfect as he is, and she has vowed never to let herself fall in love again with a perfect man because the last time she did it turned out awful.

So, two characters who aren't interested about falling in love or in settling down, but then, when they see each other... only upon seeing each other, they hadn't talk by that moment, is all hotness and need and I-don't-know-why-but-I-want-him/her. Then, they talk some more, they argue, he tries to woo her, and she says no, but they are still in the I'm saying no, but I-don't-know-why-but-I-want-him/her.

So I suppose these two end together, but I didn't like the book and didn't get on reading. I have another book of this author, I expect it to be better.
