Holy smokes, this book is so hot the pages will burn your fingers! I get the vapors reading it every time. Skip to pages 37/42, 63, 75, 108, and 197 for the hottest scenes. The main character (Mark) brings an endowment of 10.5-inches long and 9 inches thick to the story (p.112), and falls in love with the one woman who can take every last inch of him without blinking, and then willingly receives his seed as a point of womanly duty over and over. Every single extremely well-endowed man -- those who truly hold 10+ thick inches without exagerration -- knows this feeling is absolutely unforgettable, as is the girl with whom he shares it all. The author, Valdez, uses the quirky "cods" for the more simple "balls," but she does mix it up on pp.121-22. There's even a brief lactation scene in the epilogue. Despite what others have written here, the rest of the story is really quite good, and unlike many romance novels, doesn't spend 65 pages parsing a tease or foreplay. Buy one copy to read, a second for a friend, and a third for storage!

You will love this book. I finished in one day and by the end of the book I was balling my eyes out. I usually do not like when the love scenes start right at the beginning but it worked so well for this story. There are lots of explicit sex so if your not into that, please dont read this book because both of the"c" words and the "f" word are thrown around like rice. Both characters were very likable and I felt the love growning between them. The fact that the Hero is a Alpha male yet he sheads tears made me fall in love with this book and author. We got a little taste of the main characters in Lisa Valdez second book which will be about Passion's sister, Patience and Mark's brother, Matthew. Although I'm very upset that I have to wait until 01/09 to read it the excerpts from that book makes it a definite buy. If you like a good story, likable characters and lots and lots of sex and sexual tension...get this book.

Loved the setting and the sex and the story, and did I mention the sex? Talented author with excellent writing skills. If you like historical erotic with story, this is highly recommended. I don't find that many in this genre that I like. In recent reads, I also liked and recommend Gena Showalter's Lords of the UnderWorld paranormal/spicy (good action and great alpha males; addictive) and Elizabeth Amber's Lords of Satyr, which are erotic/paranormal/historic.

I won't sum up the plot of this book, as several others have already done so succinctly. However, I will say that this book made me alternately want to blush, squirm, and light a cigarette. The writing is quite decent for the genre and the characters well-developed. I particularly enjoyed Passion, as she was not one of the usual independent/childish/too stupid to live heroines that many romance authors seem to think we enjoy. She is caring, intelligent, and overall someone we can like. Mark, our handsome, well-endowed hero, is rude and rakish but undergoes believable change throughout.
These two characters take talking dirty to a new level, so you if you are easily offended by explicit sex scenes, undiluted descriptions of genitalia, and/or liberal use of the F-bomb, this may not be the book for you. And explicit means EXPLICIT, as there are three or four heavy lovin' scenes in the very first few chapters.
Don't let the cheesy cover deter you--it's a good love story with enough raunchy passion to keep even the most die-hard erotica lover satisfied.
