I actually read Dr. Weil's book a while back, but I recently went over it again recently, and decided to post a review.
A lot of Dr. Weil's advice seems very basic and more or less common sense, but you realize after reading his book how far from common sense most of us are. We know about the whole "stop to smell the roses" thing, but we don't do it. Dr. Weil points out these simple, overlooked facts and gives you a step-by-step program to slow down, think about your life, about how you live, what you do, and why.
Slow down, follow his advice, and be happier in your life. Pretty simple, right? Now do it.

This book carries practical advice, as well as structured suggestions, for making changes to improve over-all health. Exercise, diet, and breathing elements are covered. This book helped me deal with anxiety attacks without prescription medications. By following his advise, my general health improved noticeably in just one month. I still follow the overall plan, 6 years later!

This book is a very good very first book to read if you are interested in becoming healthier. I like Dr. Weil's suggestions because he focuses on getting and remaining healthy rather than on getting well after getting sick. I have read a number of Dr. Weil's books, which are all excellent, but this is the one I recommend if you have not yet read any of his books.
