this is def. one of the best in the dream hunter series like everyone says i really like it but you have to read the devil may cry very first because they have the same mythology and stuff but its new and i liked learning about the different demons.

Dream Chaser is by far the best book in the Dream Hunter series.
I am a huge fan of Sherri Kenyon aka Kinley MacGregor.

Which is why I hate to admit, that I was hesitant to even pick up this latest installment. IMO, this has been the weaker of her series.
But since she is an auto-buy for me, I had to read it.

I'm so glad I did! I read it so fast, and I was bummed when it was over.

Xypher has one chance to seek his revenge. It's all he can think of, until fate dumps him in Simone Dubois life. Simone is used to her life being a little strange. After all, she's lived with a ghost who's her best friend for years. But even she's not ready to be tied-to-the-hip of a revenge seeking Dream-Hunter.

A fast paced read that keeps you jumping even as it touches your heart. Kenyon shines.

Xypher! Hot, sexy, and tough. I was beginning to forget what a good Kenyon book read like. This one was a return to the original writing that so many of us have come to enjoy. Xypher is a character introduced in the very first Dream-Hunter series. Hades let him off from his punishment as payment for a job he did but under the stipulation that he would have only one month unless he could prove his character in that one month. Meaning, he had to sacrifice himself unconditionally.

Simone knows about the Dark Hunters only because her best friend is a guardian for them and she teaches and works at Tulane. When and if any suspicious dead bodies arrive, it's up to her to hide and manipulate the evidence so that the normal people out there don't know what is really going on. But there's more. Simone sees ghost. As a matter of fact, her best friend is a ghost that has been living with her since she was ten and her parents died and left her an orphan.

Then comes the night that Xypher and Simone collide. Of course sparks fly, but mostly from their tempers. What I love the most about Kenyon is her sense of humor. It definitely shines through in this book. Simone's ghost friend is hilarious! I absolutely loved him and am so disappointed that the story is over and therefore his character has probably come to an end. I especially loved it when he gave Xypher love advice and his Culture Club and Wham! references. This is definite recommend reading!

This is the very first novel I've read by this author and I enjoyed it. It reads very fast. My only complaint was some of the characters back story was a mystery and I didn't get enough information to understand them. But still this was a good novel.
