I use this book to teach writing skills to my ESL students. "Effective Academic Writing 1" provides both students and teachers with a practical and efficient approach with the development of proficient writing skills. This book also helps in giving the student the opportunity to explore their ideas and opinions and to share these ideas and opinions with fellow students.
The very first book in this 3 book series "effective Academic Writing 1" introduces the student to how a paragraph is constucted by providing a review of sentence structure and format. The "Effective Academic Writing" series are very user friendly for both the teacher and the student.
Please note: I had a very difficult time finding the answer key for this book. Amazon did not have it in their inventory and could not provide any information as to when they would have it in stock, however the answer key can be optained for free by logging on to the website for Oxford University Press and contacting their customer service.
I am sure that people are smart enough to ignore the other review titled "English book" written about this very invaluable book since it was not a review at all.

I got it kind of late and there are a lot of pencil marks on it. It said "FEW" pencil marks before I bought it.
