Customer Reviews
User popularity level: out of 5 stars

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - My daughter LOVED these books!
My 8 1/2 year-old daughter, who tore through all seven Harry Potter books, was looking for something as absorbing to read, and was captivated by the Septimus Heap series.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Unknown surroundings and too much talk.
In Septimus Heap Book 1 & 2 there is too little detail about the background environment, where this fantasy takes place. Instead these books are bloated with dialog. The reader is left trying to picture the magical world that surrounds these wizardly characters. Read the Lord of the Rings instead.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - very entertaining to read
these books are very entertaining to read and any one child or adult who likes to read these kind of books would enjoy this story.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Great Books
This is the best deal I found on the very first of the series. They are great to share with the family. We read them together as a family and enjoy them as we do when we watch Harry Potter movies.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - The very first book is so dull
I can only comment on the very first 2/3s of the very first book, because it was so dull and boring i called it quits and threw them out before i could finish both.

perhaps i was spoiled after reading "his dark materials" trilogy, but there was no suspense or mystery with book #1, i had no reason to keep reading each night, no excitement to pick up the book and find out whats next.
