Great artwork and of course a fantastic story and for that I have no reservations about giving it 5 stars. However, I am a bit perplexed and who knows maybe I missed something when I very first starting hearing about "The Stand: Expanded Edition: For the First Time Complete and Uncut (Signet)" coming out in a comic book, but how can you possibly condense a 1,000+ page story into five 32 page comic books? I just don't see it happening.
If you look on the bottom left hand corner of the cover, it clearly states that this is the very first in a five issue limited series. Okay, so back to my original question, "How do you put a 1,000+ page novel into five 32 page comic books and make it work?"
Are we going to be subjected to either a shallow endeavor at doing this story in comic book format, or worse even, being subjected to buying 10 or 15 different five issue limited series sets in order to get the full story? I guess we are just going to have to wait and see!
