Product Description:
Newt Gingrich takes us on a simple walk through Washington, D.C. that began a profound journey of personal discovery and renewal.
At the National Archives, the immortal words from the Declaration of Independence that we 'are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights,' jumped off the page and into his heart with the simple truth that from day one in our country's history, the Author of freedom was not the state nor even the Founding Fathers. Our basic human rights and freedoms were-and are-'Creator-endowed.' Gingrich sounds a clarion call for us to recognize that the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness that we hold so dear are inseparable from a sincere and humble acknowledgement that these gifts are only the Creator's to give. As a bonus, the book includes a 'walking tour' of Washington, D.C.

This is a good walking tour of our heritage that every American, and want to be American should listen to. Our history and what our founding fathers said and set up is important to the decisions we make today.

How very intersting to learn more about our Capital. Faith was what our founding Fathers understood. This is a great book to read with or to your children. Very important in formation of our Nations History.

I have tremendous respect for the author. I enjoyed the DVD and ordered the CD for my mother who is blind. History of our country needs to include our God and this book should be a part of school system. I plan to give the DVD to my children and share with my Sunday School Class. It will be something that I watch again and again. Thanks to both of the authors.

To premise my review I must state that I'm a staunch Republican and would give a 5-star review to a driveway chalk drawing if Newt somehow managed to get it published. That said...
I believe that this is the perfect guide book for somebody who is visiting Washington DC for all of the historical culture that it has to offer. There is such a huge movement by the far left to remove anything that has to do with God from any public domain. When I grew up, everybody said the "Pledge of Allegiance" in the classroom, but yesterday the far left wants that banned. What Newt does is gives you a guide to some of this great nation's greatest symbols and ties God right in, just the way the founders of our country had intended.
This country was founded on principles by the grace of God, and it should always remain that way. What Newt has accomplished here is something that the mainstream media never would dare, he has re-educated this country (or at least those willing to listen) as to how prevalent God is and always has been in the United States of America.
