From the supplier: A study used longitudinal data collected in interviews in 1984 and 1992 to determine predictors of help seeking for problem drinking. Results indicate that male gender, an age of less than 30, Hispanic ethnicity and experiencing at least three social consequences of drinking behavior were significant predictors of help seeking behavior. Treatment was most frequently sought from Alcoholics Anonymous.
