From the supplier: Halben Food Manufacturing Co, which produces a variety of powdered food and beverage mixes, has improved dust control within its plant by replacing a baghouse system with a wet collector system. The baghouse bags frequently clogged due to the hygroscopic nature of many of ingredients used in Halben's products. The wet collection system vacuums dust from source areas and mixes the dust-laden air with a water mist. The water absorbs the dust and is discharged into the municipal sewage system. Water usage is only 10 gallons per hour, and dust removal efficiencies are as high as 99.8%.
