Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Critique by Lewis and Clark Law Professor
Be sure to Google "Shi-Ling Hsu, Priceless." He is a law professor who used to work in the private sector and has written an in-depth, compassionate, insightful critique of Ackerman and Heinzerling's book. He is far more eloquent than I.

Essential reading for the student of the environment is also Bjorn Lomborg's "The Skeptical Environmentalist." Choosing wisely what we spend our money on is of critical importance: the number of lives potentially saved by chasing miniscule amounts of pollutants in the air and water is phenomenally overshadowed by our need to treat and control malaria and poverty (see NY Times Magazine, Sunday 10/30/05 - the Gates' are on the right track).
