Dr. Achterberg is a leader in her field, visionary, no pun intended. Jeanne's intuition, knowledge, experience, and compassion come through on this cd as they do in her lectures and books. Anyone interested in healing should own this wonderful cd and hopefully we can get Jeanne to do more cds like them!

and Jeanne Achterberg, PhD is (quote) "one of the world's most authoratative and insightful leaders in the field of mind/body medicine". This Vision Quest is fantastic, however it's not w/o one problem - on this CD Dr Marty Rossman gives a fairy brief introduction, and then Dr. Achterberg gives an 11+ minute history of a Vision Quest and instruction for the meditation - which cannot be bypassed to get to the Vision Quest. Dr Achterberg's voice is fabulous - SO soothing and relaxing it's easy to fall asleep during the instructions. If you could by-pass them after listening to them the very first time it wouldn't be a problem, but you can't.
I loved the Vision Quest, and didn't want to just file it away - which is what I would have had to do if I couldn't have edited the introduction and instructions off the CD. But I could - so I popped the CD into my PC, ripped it, edited the intro and the 11+ min. instructions off of the CD (with an awesome free program called Audacity - which I downloaded from www.cnet.com - which is really worth having!) and then re-recorded the remainder onto another CD in order to be able to enjoy only the Vision Quest.
