Product Description:
We wrote the book on personal transformation: John Doe was an ordinary guy: Had a wife (girlfriend) and while he worked (was in school) full time and had a couple of hobbies, he also wanted to be bigger and stronger. John had no special genetic gifts and no interest in drugging up; plus, he had to keep the training routine and the accompanying diet very simple as well as extremely effective. Enter SUPER SQUATS, and six weeks later, the 150-pound, somewhat shaky version of John Doe had been replaced by a 180-pound fire breather who knew he could walk through walls, because he'd just done it. SUPER SQUATS is the definitive book on the classic 20-rep squat routine . . . it's been around for almost 75 years and it's the system that turns scarecrows into musclemen. Whether you're trying to outgrow your size small shirts or are hunting for a win at World's Strongest Man, here's the winning recipe when it comes to bulking up. 112 pp.

This is a great book if you are interested in gaining bulk and are willing to work EXTREMELY hard. If you do the program outlined in the book you will gain. (i modified the program by doing just 3 exercises squat, bench, row all for 20 reps) If you give it half effort, expect nothing good. Good read, good program for the SERIOUS lifter.

I started on the super squats routine about a month ago. I was new to squats, and the concept of building muscle. It was hard at first, but I loved it. Ive already gone from 179 pounds to 190 pounds with my bodyweight. I hade never done squats before, so i started at 80 pounds and have gone up to 155 pounds so far I look alot leaner, and bigger, and feel alot stronger. Even if you do not like to do squats, the book offers alot of information for new beginners. I will tell you this, the routine calls for ALOT of food, especially MILK. I have been drinking a gallon a day for the past month, and working out 3 times a week. The very first few days of eating so much food and drinking so much milk are hard, but your stomach will stretch, and you will become used to it. To help myself get ready for the challenge, I kind of pre-stretched my apetite for liquid. I drank atleast 1 gallon of water throughout the day the week before. This made it a little easier to take in the gallon milk a day. Squats and Milk, its what the books about.

This book is outstanding. With all the current hype in regards to building muscle and getting huge, its easy to get lost in the confusion. Magazines and internet forums seem to all go on the premise of what the latest MR OLYMPIA's super chest blast 25 set routine is. The problem, anyone without a 100,000 dollar a year drug budget will NOT make the same gains as him, nor will the average man's genetics take him to quite that same level. I say, save your money, don't waste it on drugs like that, save your money for this book and alot of milk and watch the gains start rushing at you faster than an angry linebacker when you have the ball. The routine is SIMPLE, BASIC, and easy to understand, yet requires a TREMENDOUS amount of hardwork and will power. Even if you don't start squatting regularly, pick up this book anyway just to see how real men build muscle.

Super Squats is timeless. It gives down to earth information on the only three things that will make you bigger and stronger. They are;
1.Progressive overload
2.Getting enough food
3.Rest for growth and addaptation.
These are the cornerstones of getting big and strong and they are as true yesterday as they have always been.
I think one of the problems with today's training magazines is that they seem to put more emphasis on food supplements and training sessions that are done by bodybuilding champions that are not only genetically gifted but also take drugs. These same bodybuilders also promote the food supplements but fail to mention the drug use.
I train people of all ages and all genetic abilities and I can tell you that using the principles laid out in super squats works!
For all begginers out there, cut through the hype and get squatting.

The author is a bit of an exaggerator but the fundamental concepts are very good. This is an especially good book for those (stick-figures) who have a very hard time putting on weight.
