Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
Every child in town wanted one of Henry Stauf’s handcrafted toys—so intricate, detailed, almost magically lifelike. After a terrible illness claimed the life of each child who cherished one of the toys, Stauf retired to the seclusion of his mansion on the hill—perhaps unspeakably saddened by the puzzling deaths. Perhaps not.

Years pass, and the Stauf mansion, slowly deteriorating, stands as a macabre reminder of the horror that swept through the town. Within its walls, Henry Stauf plans his final outrage against an unsuspecting world. What evil will the madman unleash? What fearful secrets does his mansion hold?

Six guests venture to the Stauf Mansion one desperate night, each with a private hell to escape, each certain Henry Stauf will be the instrument of salvation. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Only the seventh guest stands between their greed and the world's damnation!

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Not that bad of a book
I'm a big fan of the PC game "7th Guest" and the sequel "11th Hour." Well since I hadn't played the game in a while I thought i'd order the book and read it to refresh the story. Well it does a good job telling you about the characters but the story seemed rushed and confusing at some parts. If you are a fan of the game get this book. If you've never played it, I still recommend it. Enjoy

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Not Very Good
I found this book to be all right but it was poorly written. The book seemed too short and rushed. The word usage was terrible making me believe that the author is not much of a talent. The only thing that interested me about it was that I played and enjoyed the game and the book refreshed the story for me. I do not recommend this for anyone unless they enjoyed the game.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Trapped
like many of the characters in this novel it is very possible to be trapped in this book. You absolutely cannot put it down towards the end. I grew up playing the game never realizeing it was based on a book until I chanced across "Unidentified", with the words from the author of " The 7th Guest". I highly recommend this to everyone. It is on the short side, so for those of us with busy schedules it is the perfect just before bedtime book.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - A great game, A great book.
The ending is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It was a bit choppy and through me for a loop. But it was a fun read. If you got into the video game, you will really like this book too.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - This book is wonderful!!!
I hate reading, especially if it's a book with no meaning. One day I went shopping with my dad and I saw this book on a shelf picked it up and started reading it inside the store cause it loked so interesting. I started reading it and right from the beggining it was spectacular. I of course begged my dad to get it and I still haven't finished reading it. I'm telling you it is a great book!!
