i was really happy with the condition of the book at the price that i got it.+!!!

While it doesn't stack up to the Princeton Review, this study book was among the better ones. I'd be antsy about buying it at first, hearing about the general quality that REA puts out. While the book is definitely detailed and contains any information you will need on the test, it's far too difficult to study the entire thing within a week. I started studying a week early, covering slightly under 100 pages of the review book a day and still didn't manage to finish reading the entire thing by the day of the exam.

This book is best used in conjunction with an actual class and not as a sole study guide for the AP exam. It simply goes far too detailed into what you need, and therefore, you learn information that will be useless for the actual exam. If taken with a class, you can already know which passages are important and which passages can be skipped (where there are various). You can even use it in conjunction with another study guide if you want a better understanding or some events that this book or another may not have (which I highly suggest).

The practice tests were some of the better ones I've seen used. While the Princeton Review is great for it's rather brief information given on the most important aspects, its practice tests are far too easy and unrealistic practice for the actual exam. In contrast, in REA's book, while question are unlike those of the actual exam, it gives a wonderful method to test your knowledge and figure out what more you need to study. I only used two of the full practice tests, and if taken seriously, they take less than an hour to complete each. I recommend going through it one question at a time, flipping back and forth between the questions and answer keys while highlighting what you are missing so you can review those points later.

Overall, I found the Best Test Prep AP European History Exam to be an overall decent book to use. However, I must say that the Princeton Review is better for last minute studying as it is much shorter and focuses on the most important points. Therefore, if you can, buy the Princeton Review (which I guarantee you'll be hard-pressed to find within two weeks of the AP exams), but otherwise, this is a fine second choice.

the info is great. it is the most comprehensive review, better than Kaplan, princeton, cliffs, and arco. they also have a formula for a rough estimate score on the ap exam. the test are as hard, if not harder than the actual ap exam.
