this was a very first Angie Ray book for me. She is a very good romance writer and the book was entertaining.
The flaws-The "romance" between the two characters was a bit frustrating because this is one of the type of romances where the two characters fight-themselves, each other and the romance-till almost the end. The hero, Derek, is a playboy, and he fights being a stand up guy till the end as well. If these were resolved quicker in the book I think it would have been more enjoyable.
The praise-even with some character issues, Ms Ray writes such a fast paced, enjoyable story that you can overlook the foibles.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes time travel, fish out of water, or humorous romance.
4 stars.

Not very many books play like a movie in my head. But this book was written so well that I literally saw it in my head as though I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. The tortures that Lady Allison thinks of for the reluctant playboy 'knight', had me rolling in laughter until tears fell from my eyes. The only thing that had me perplexed with this book, is the relationship between Lady Allison and Derek Sinclair.
For anyone who has read A Knight To Cherish, the you would know that My Lady In Time is the sequel to it. So if Lady Allison Pelsworth is a descendent of Garrick Sinclair, who is the long lost brother of Derek Sinclair, wouldn't that make Lady Allison Derek Sinclair's great-great niece?
That thought provoking question is the only reason why I gave this book four stars instead of five. Aside from that, this book will not leave you feeling disappointed. I would recommend reading A Knight To Cherish very first though.

My Lady in Time was a pleasant read. The leading character is a male, for a change, who travels back through time where he eventually learns his true calling in life and falls in love along the way. The story had some fun moments, but was lacking in the intense emotional pangs of a very good romance book. Some moments were just plain silly, and the romantic tension between Derek and Allison could have been stronger if Allison were a bit less shallow character. Her main attributes were her beauty and wealth. I failed to connect with her and found it hard to understand Derek's deep attraction to her. Derek, on the other hand, is a much stronger character. His transformation from a modern day playboy to a hardworking, respectable knight really had me rooting for him all the way. If you'd like a nice, lighthearted story, then you should enjoy My Lady in Time. It's a good book, just not a great one.
