Product Description:
Dear Reader,
Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day.
As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the very first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and onto the world. She taught me to love again.
But I was not born to love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace--the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two-thousand-year-old curse?

I LOVE Sherrilyn Kenyon. This girl can write a romance! And not just a romance...there is such a great story behind it. A plot, a world, a reason...emotion. The hero, Julian, is.... so unspeakably erotic that he has totally taken my innocence, haha, and yet he is terribly deep. What he has gone throgh...makes me want to clutch him to my bosom and tell him it will all be OK. Kenyon knows how to make a background story, how to give a character depth, how to make a romance more than just sex and flattering phrases. Read Fantasy Lover! Lose yourself in this gripping, tantalizing, fantastic series starter.

I read this book on the recommendation of my online buddies, and the sensation of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. This book was very, very enjoyable. It was not what I expected at all. Sherrilyn Kenyon's writing is witty, sweet, fun, and sensual. Who would ever guess how sexy one could eat spaghetti? Or read? Tension between the 2 is OFF THE CHARTS!
The characters were very well developed, and I enjoyed finally seeing a HEA for them. They both were afraid to share their feelings, a pet peeve of mine, but the way SM writes the background of the h/h, I was not irritated at all- you go girl!
It may take me 10 years to get to Acheron, but I will. I just hope there's not a test for what god does what, because I would fail miserably.

A great starts to an even greater series. Definately reccomend. The charachters can be a bit corny at times but they make up for it in great dialog and love scenes to knock your socks off. The Greek Mythology is one of my favorite parts.

I Love this book, but ? Is aphrodite the daughter of zeus or a blood relative? Because if not the is no way in hell should julian be able to hold the sword of cronus.
Cronus was zeus's father, which makes artemis his aunt and not his cousin as julian calls her in kyrian's book

This was my very first Sherrilyn Kenyon book. While the book was enjoyable, I do have to agree with other reviewers that a lot of the dialog was amateurish at best and not realistic at all. For example-who do you know that says the phrase "holy purple guacamole"?
If the dialog had been improved, as well as less time spent on how "godly gorgeous" Julian was, how plain Grace was, and finally the cringe worthy "sleazy" inner dialog the H/H had for each other then the book would have rated four stars.
I liked the book enough to give the second book a try and see if the author's writing gains any depth, otherwise I'll skip the rest of the series.
3 stars for a good try.
