Product Description:
Enter the top secret world of military intelligence, where the acclaimed author of Acts Of Honor, Duplicity, and Shades of Graydelivers a shattering new novel of danger, desire, and deadly intrigue...
Dr. Julia Warner-Hyde must do the unthinkable: return to a life she thought she left forever--the covert world of Air Force missile technology. Not long ago, she fled in terror, stalked by an abusive husband, beginning a new life as a teacher in the Florida panhandle. But her safe, quiet life is shattered the day her former partner, Dr. Seth Holt, appears, asking for help.
The Rogue missile system Julia and Seth designed has fallen into terrorist hands. Julia has no choice but to join Seth in a critical race to prevent the ultimate nightmare. And in doing so, she must revisit her own private hell-one that won't let her go until she faces it head-on. Now, Julia and Seth, fellow warriors who've seen the worst life has to offer, must breach the highest security risk of all: trust...and love.

I very first discovered this wonderful author in a chat on America Online where she shared her wisdom with a group of writers. I read SHADES OF GRAY and absolutely loved the complicated twists and turns of the plot with the romance subplot going on at the same time.
ALL DUE RESPECT doesn't disappoint. It's written with the same engaging style and intelligence as SHADES OF GRAY. Vicki Hinze's strength is her characters. I care about what happens to them.
The plot is suspenseful and carries the reader along as well. I highly recommend this book and I don't say that often these days.
Good job, Ms. Hinze! I can't wait for the subsequent release.

Ms Hinze is right up there with Ludlum, Kellerman, and Koontz (without the supernatural stuff). Her stories are edgy and exciting. The biggest difference is that she brings in a strong emotional element like the fact that the woman in this story was a victim of domestic violence. Someone looking for all action and no characterization might give this a 4 instead of a 5 but its the characters and what makes them tick that makes Ms Hinze's book extra extra special. I've already preordered her subsequent novel and can't wait to read it.

I just finished this and I can only agree with Jayzie1. I just wish I had listened. The only reason I even finished this was because it was the only book I had taken with me on a trip. Don't waste your time or your money. The plot was illogical and annoying. The heroine was supposedly a genious who had disappeared from her highly secure position three years earlier. She is then recruited back into the most secret R&D facility in the country?! As the boss, no less!! She is constantly agonizing over if she should tell the hero about her abusive ex-husband or not (a good third of the book seems to be devoted to this). This is definitely not worth your time or your money.

As an aeronautical engineer (rocket scientist to some), I enjoyed this book. Author is right on target with the technical areas. Also Hinze brought up some good points on domestic violence and the way it can effect a person that I had not previously considered. Good book.

For a book about rocket scientists, this was pretty dumb.
The plot is incredibly uneven and drags on and on. I wanted this book to get the point, but it never does. The "mole" out to sabotage the missle defense system is obvious from the beginning, but does anyone do anything about it? No. Julia (the heroine) is being stalked by her ex-husband, does she tell Seth? No. She almost tells him about a hundred times, but drags it out forever. Her ex-husband shows up at her house and threatens her. She runs away, but then goes back home! I could go on and on. For rocket scientists these people were pretty stupid.
This book was a waste of time and money.
