Just read this book and it was great, another great book by Kinley MacGregor. Love reading this author amd look forward to the subsequent brotherhood series installment. Maybe it will be Phantom's story?!

This was my very first Kinley MacGregour book and midway through Return of the Warrior, I wondered what took me so long to discover this fantastic author. This book was full of passion, humour and action. The plot was interesting and the journey, enjoyable. Christian is a great hero and I finished this book wanting to go out and buy everything by this author that I could find.

While I love Kinley, this was not her best work, I found Christian tiresome and well not likeable to begin with, but he grew on me like you'd expect. But I'm still left with the thought, what would I have written differently, if this character was mine, and I realy can't think of any difference, this is was the natural way for this character to go. Is this book a must read, yes, if you want to follow the series.

Christian is a member of the Brotherhood, yet he is also prince to a land he's never seen. He was raised in a monastery before he was taken and now dresses as a monk so people will leave him alone. He's an excellent fighter, though, whose loyalties are only to the Brotherhood.
Queen Adara, betrothed to Christian as children, seeks her husband for her kingdom. She still remembers the young Christian she met as a child and dreams of him. Yet, things do not go as planned. Christian doesn't want to be tied down by anything or anyone and puts up quite a fight to get out of the marriage.
Christian sees Adara's attempts to bed him as her willingness to take anyone to help rule her kingdom. Once Christian realizes that it is HE Adara wants, things seem to turn into their favor. Yet, there are those who want the young prince dead and Christian and Adara must return to Christian's homeland to put a stop to the bad guys and take his Kingdom back.
This book has drama, love, and humor. If I had to pick a complaint it would be, without trying to spoil anything, Christian's 'recovery'. It seem a little rushed which is understandable considering what must be done.
I'll recommend this book and this series. It's worth a good reread.

The second book in the Brotherhood series, this is the story of a wayward prince who finds his way back home with the help of his enchanting queen.

Then one night he walks into his room and finds a beautiful naked stranger who claims to be his bride. Furthermore, she pleas for him to take her back to her kingdom and claim his throne, or even more outrageous, at least provide her with an heir. Try as he might, Christian cannot turn his back on his desperate bride. And as they begin their journey, he realizes that while he can protect Adara from their enemies, he may not be able to protect his very own heart.
The second instalment in Kinley MacGregor's Brotherhood series, RETURN OF THE WARRIOR is a fantastic tale of adventure, politics, friendship and love. From the time I very first learned about the Brotherhood, I was awed by the fierce loyalty that those men have for one another. After meeting Christian in A DARK CHAMPION, I knew that his story would be a wonderful one; and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Christian is a proud and mighty warrior whose sole fear is of losing his freedom. I could understand his worry about taking up his duty to his people and of fulfilling Adara's wish for him to return home. After the sufferings he's gone through, one can only empathize with him. As for Adara, she is a brave queen who lived with the hope of her husband's return. It was sad to see the battle she's in for to make this dream come true.
With its superb plot, entertaining second characters (notably Lutian and Phantom), this is a wonderful book that will thug at your hear, make you laugh and entertain you throughout.
